About

Hi, I am Wolfgang Schoch and write here about searching and finding. I’ve been working as a software developer for over ten years and have spent a lot of time with search technology. The topic still fascinates me. I believe that in a world where data is the new bacon, finding the right information is key.

In addition to technology, I also like to share knowledge in trainings, workshops or talks. For example in trainings, workshops or lectures. With this blog I would like to connect these two things and write about all the topics that I am interested in. Basically these are technical things around Elasticsearch and ideas and concepts for an efficient search through best practices, semantic approaches or query understanding techniques.

I hope the articles are interesting and useful. Feedback is always welcome, be it as a comment under the articles or by email. And if you find an error somewhere or have a topic request, I am also happy about a message.
